The Office of Community Investment

The Office of Community Investment was created by Mayor Jerome A. Prince to create a central point of engagement for current, new and planned businesses to engage with the City of Gary.  The Office is comprised of Redevelopment, Community Development, Economic Development, Zoning, Planning, and Data Analytics and Messaging, which also manages Art & Culture/Brand Management.

The strategic goal is to provide a "central point of engagement" for new projects, expanded projects and planning for the City. We work closely with the Building Department for issuing permitting.
